Wool has temperature-regulating and self-cleaning properties. Take good care of your new coat to ensure it lasts you a lifetime. If it needs to be cleaned, try to spot-clean or air-clean primarily or bring it to your local dry-cleaner. You may iron it at medium temperature.

    2. The yarn is spun in Brandenburg (Germany) before it is shipped to the fabric mill in Bavaria (Germany).

    3. The dyeing takes place in Bavaria, Germany. All dyes are GOTS approved.

    4. We work with a traditional fabric mill in Germany, which is responsible for the spinning, weaving and dyeing of our organic wool coat fabric. It is a woman-owned family-run factory, which was established in 1644!

    5. This garment was ethically produced by a team of fifteen people in Poland, Europe. It is a small woman-owned factory close to the German boarder. They are extremely skilled and are in close contact with our production team in Germany.

    6. We ship our orders in Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) Mix certified cardboard boxes, which are cut and printed in Austria. They do contain a plastic tear-off strip, which is a compromise we are willing to make in order to offer easy returns without customers having to use additional plastic tape.

Our products come wrapped in tissue paper, secured with a sticker. Both our stickers and our flyers are manufactured in a climate-neutral facility in Germany using 100% recycled paper.

The hangtags we use are made of 100% FSC certified paper and are manufactured in Austria. Our barcode stickers are currently still made of plastic, but this is the next area we want to tackle!

    7. Our warehouse is located just outside Berlin. All of our orders are shipped using DHL go green, which is a climate-neutral shipping solution. The fulfillment center prides themselves with having a young, 59% female team from 9 different nationalities. The team is encouraged to bike to work and their company fridge is filled with over 90% organic foods.

    9. The most sustainable thing you can do is to wear and rewear your garments many times. When you're ready to pass something on, consider reselling or donating it! Our community is a good place for that!

However, in a circular economy, a product's end-of-life scenario is an important aspect to keep in mind during its creation. Sooner or (hopefully) later this garment's life will come to an end. Here's what you need to know about the recyclability of this garment:

This garment consists of mainly natural materials - wool, lyocell and organic cotton. The viscose interlining does not have a certification, but there have been tests proving its biodegradability. We are in close contact to our suppliers to find out more about whether this garment as a whole could eventually biodegrade.

Hi Simona, Oh no! I looked into this for you. Looks like it was "being delivered" on April 1st, but never made it to you. It might be due to the holidays? Give it another two days and if it doesn't turn up, please email us at support@theslowlabel.com and we will take care of this! No need to worry :) Best, Anna

    Perfekter Overcoat
