TENCEL™ fibers are biodegradable and compostable and can fully revert back to nature. The wood is sustainably produced in a closed-loop process, which means waste and water are reused/recycled to up to 99%.
The finished fabric is super soft and comfortable + easy to wash. There's a big range of use for TENCEL™ fibers and when you keep an eye out for it, you'll be surprised as to how diverse the fiber is!
How to care for garments made of lyocell TENCEL™
Following these tips is crucial in making your TENCEL™ pieces look good for a long time: Wash at a low temperature (max. 30°C) in the wool wash cycle, using eco-friendly wool wash detergent. Hang-dry immediately and please do not tumble dry and do not use fabric softener. And as always: less is more! Wash as little as possible and always wash your items with similar colors.

Where does your TENCEL™ fabric come from?
We buy our fabrics with TENCEL™ fibers from Textil Santanderia. They are located in the north of Spain and have a strong environmental policy and approach to limiting their environmental impact. There, the fiber is spun into yarn and woven into the finished fabric.
Where does the fiber come from?
The lyocell fiber used to make our fabric comes from Lenzing, which is an Austrian based company known for its circular business model. They use FSC® and PEFC™ certified wood from sustainable forestry for their production. According to their website, more than half of the wood pulp used to produce the fibers comes from their own plants, located in Lenzing (AUT) and Paskov (CZ). The rest is sourced from international partners. More information here.
Which technique is being used to dye this fabric?
We buy our fabric containing TENCEL™ fibers in three different colorways: in white, black and our signature green color "leaf". The dyeing technique used is called Iris. It is a more environmentally friendly reactive dyeing process: a sustainable solution for dyeing cellulose fibers. The iris dyeing process is carried out at a low temperature, taking less time and consuming less water and energy. The reactive colorants used (Avitera® SE) are also free of arylamines!
