Located near the German border, this manufacturer is owned and run by a woman, Lucja, who has years of experience in this industry. The small number of employees creates a family-like feeling and makes it easy for us to oversee the production.

SOCIAL STANDARDS

Lucja's 15-person team consists of women between the ages of 40 and 63 years old. They work from 7am to 3pm, enjoying a 20 minute breakfast break and the freedom to take short breaks during working hours. Transportation to and from their workplace as well as health insurance is paid for by their employer.

They even receive a monthly bonus payment! Between 5 and 20% of the monthly revenue (this fluctuates with the revenue amount) is being distributed among the 15 garment workers. Their bonus payment depends on their level of experience.

The garment workers earn above minimum wage, which is 620€ in 2021.

ENVIRONMENTAL STANDARDS

Waste is separated in paper, plastic and general waste. At the moment, all fabric scraps go into the general waste. We are looking into circular options to repurpose fabric scraps at the moment.

Electricity consumption has been lowered by switching to LED lighting and lower voltage sewing machines.
