A women-owned garment factory in northern Portugal, founded in 2018. 172 employees, 93% of whom are women.
They specialise in structured garments: outerwear, jackets, trousers, and casual pieces, handling cutting, sewing, and finishing in-house.
The people
8-hour days. 5-day weeks. 22 paid vacation days per year. Wages are above the Portuguese minimum wage. Employees receive free transport to and from work, training throughout the year, health care discounts at clinics and gyms, and seasonal gifts at Christmas and Easter. Half of managers and owners are women.
The environment
All waste is sorted and sent for recycling via licensed operators. Energy consumption is actively monitored, and the factory is working towards installing solar panels. They work with sustainable raw materials and have an in-house textile recycling facility.
Why we work with them
We asked them to complete a detailed social and environmental assessment. Their answers were specific and verifiable. They're in Europe, which means we can visit easily and reduce transportation emissions.
