Through our Women Who Inspire Us series we aim to highlight women who live their lives in a way that we find empowering. With each feature we introduce you to someone who has crossed our path - virtually or IRL - and left a lasting impression.
Sophia Ippoliti is one of those women. Living life through art, she approaches creativity not only as expression, but as a way of being - rooted in attention, care, and slowness. Curious and introspective by nature, her work and daily rituals reflect a quiet devotion to beauty, meaning, and detail. Guided by a natural pace and inspired by Japanese culture, Sophia’s reflections on slow living, self-connection, and respect for time remind us that presence itself can be a form of art.
Today, we’re excited to share our #WomenWhoInspireUs conversation with Sophia.
Introducing - Sophia Ippoliti

How do you describe what you do?
Simply living life through art. Not only as artistic expression but as a way of being: the art of attention, of care, of slowness and study. A quiet devotion to beauty, meaning and detail.
Name three words that describe you.
Curious, introspective, creative.
Share some moments that calm your mind and make you happy. What do you do to unwind and reconnect with yourself?
The smell of warm tea, getting lost in a good book, and going for a run in the park. When I feel overwhelmed, I take a few days to slow down completely. I don’t plan anything, I just rest, reflect, and focus on small wellness rituals. After about three days, it’s like something shifts - I always end up feeling deeply reconnected with myself.
What does slow living mean to you?
To me, slow living means choosing to live at your own natural pace. It’s about giving space to each action, without rushing and without the constant feeling that there’s never enough time. Slow living is respect - respect for time and for the things we do. It’s a way of searching for inner balance and peace.

Tell us about your morning routine!
I wake up and the first thing I think about is my dog and my cat. Then I do my skincare routine, put the tea on, and start warming up for a workout. After that, I take a long, hot shower - it’s the perfect way to begin my day.
Where do you find your inspiration?
Japan is my biggest source of inspiration. Ever since my first trip there, I’ve carried that atmosphere with me. I keep nurturing everything I absorbed, and I express it through what I create.
Knowing what you know now, what would you tell your 18 year old self?
Choose your people wisely - and listen to yourself more.
Can you highlight a specific piece of clothing you've owned for a long time that holds a special place in your heart, and share the story behind it?
Absolutely - my very first kimono, which I found in a vintage shop in Tokyo. It’s my creative uniform, and the piece I feel most comfortable in. It holds so many memories and still feels like a part of who I am.
Your current or all time favorite song?
“Lover of the Light” - Mumford & Sons
