Open Positions
Interim Co-CEO (m/f/d)
Type of employment: Flexible
Duration: 6-month role with option to transition into a permanent Co-CEO position
Start: Ideally March 2026
Location: Germany (working remotely)
Founded in 2019, The Slow Label has grown into an independent fashion brand with a strong creative vision and a loyal international customer base. As founder Anna-Laura Amenta prepares for her maternity leave starting in May, we are seeking an experienced Interim Co-CEO to join ahead of time and lead the business through this transitional phase.
The founder will remain involved at a strategic and creative level. This role is designed for a senior leader who can take CEO-level responsibility for the commercial and financial leadership of the company within clearly defined strategic and financial guardrails.
THE ROLE
As Interim Co-CEO, you will join the company ahead of the founder’s maternity leave to ensure a handover and alignment phase, before assuming responsibility for the day-to-day leadership and overall performance of The Slow Label during the leave period.
Your mandate is to safeguard business continuity while further strengthening the company’s foundations. This includes overseeing financial performance, setting clear priorities, and introducing additional structure and strategic clarity, in order to support sustainable growth.
The role combines hands-on leadership with strategic oversight. You will work closely with the team across all core functions — including production, logistics, and e-commerce — while maintaining a strong focus on financial health, decision-making, and execution.
The Slow Label is currently focused on direct-to-consumer growth in Europe, with a strong presence in the DACH region. During the interim period, the emphasis is on ensuring stability, financial clarity, and strong execution of the existing business, while thoughtfully strengthening structures where needed.
Following the 6-month interim period, there is a clear interest in continuing the collaboration, potentially evolving the role into a permanent Co-CEO position, depending on mutual fit, company needs, and shared vision.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the business through a structured handover and transition during the founder’s maternity leave
- Act as Interim Co-CEO, with responsibility for the company’s commercial, financial, and operational performance
- Own the P&L, including budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow management, and KPI definition and tracking
- Review and strengthen structures to improve transparency, efficiency, and decision-making
- Assess and refine the company’s cost base, resource allocation, and organisational setup
- Set priorities and translate strategic objectives into clear, actionable plans
- Lead and support the team: clarify roles, manage performance, and selectively hire as needed
- Oversee production planning, balancing efficiency, quality, and sustainability
- Solve operational and business challenges with a hands-on, pragmatic approach
- Explore opportunities for additional channels or markets while consolidating the core direct-to-consumer business
- Work in close alignment with the founder, who remains involved at a strategic and creative level
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of experience in senior leadership roles (CEO, Managing Director, General Manager, or similar; fashion, consumer goods, or e-commerce preferred).
- Proven experience owning and managing a P&L within a consumer, fashion, or DTC business
- Experience delivering growth, and building scalable operational structures.
- Strong financial and analytical skills with a data-driven mindset.
- Experience leading and supporting small teams, providing clarity, structure, and direction
- Comfortable in a lean, entrepreneurial environment — able to balance strategy with hands-on day-to-day problem solving.
- Passionate about fashion, branding, and sustainable growth.
- Ability to bring structure and strategic clarity to growing businesses
- Interest in brand-led, values-driven companies
OUR OFFER
- A CEO-level interim role with meaningful responsibility and influence
- A clearly defined 6-month duration with the opportunity to transition into a longer-term (potentially Co-CEO) partnership
- Close collaboration with the founder before, during, and after the maternity leave
- Flexible working arrangements (remote, preference for Germany-based candidates)
- A creative, purpose-driven company culture where your impact is tangible and valued.

Product Developer & Production Manager (m/f/d)
Type of employment: Part-Time
Hours: 20-30 hours per week
Start: Flexible (preferably January 2026)
Location: Remote (preferably Berlin or Vienna)
At The Slow Label, we believe in fashion with purpose. We are a sustainable fashion company creating high-quality, timeless clothing while promoting responsible consumption. Our mission is to redefine the fashion industry by prioritizing ethics and sustainability without compromising on style.
We’re looking for an experienced Product Developer & Production Manager to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with our founder/creative director, our freelance designer, and our network of suppliers and manufacturers. You will oversee the development of new products from concept through to final delivery, ensuring consistency, quality, and on-time production. As you will be working across multiple categories—including knitwear, jersey, intimates, swim, accessories, and wovens—previous experience in a similar role is essential. Because we focus on a curated, timeless collection with fewer new launches and many restocks, this role is well-suited to a 20-30 hour work week. Our emphasis is on quality, longevity, and responsible growth—not fast fashion timelines.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and improve products across all categories (wovens, knitwear, accessories, etc.): create concepts, select colors/fabrics/trims, prepare sketches and tech packs — depending on qualifications, optionally in collaboration with our freelance designer.
- Manage development from initial idea to delivery at our warehouse.
- Coordinate product development, sourcing, buying, production, and logistics.
- Research and implement sustainable innovations for fabrics, yarns, trims, and accessories.
- Conduct fittings and oversee product adjustments.
- Manage manufacturer relationships: identify and onboard new suppliers, conduct assessments, and nurture existing partnerships.
- Oversee certification management and compliance.
- Source, sample, and purchase materials.
- Create and maintain spec sheets, updating them throughout development.
- Manage sub-suppliers and related logistics (e.g., packaging, labels, extras).
- Maintain production calendars and communicate deadlines to factories, ensuring scheduled delivery dates are met.
- Arrange and oversee quality-control checks ahead of delivery to ensure workmanship and consistency.
- Communicate potential delays or changes to delivery schedules with internal and external teams.
- Verify invoices and shipping documents against agreed quantities and prices.
- Support go-to-market preparation (collection briefs, product information).
- Identify opportunities to reduce lead times and costs while maintaining quality.
- Drive continuous improvement in workmanship, quality, and sustainability standards.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of experience in product development and production management, ideally within sustainable fashion.
- Strong knowledge of garment construction, materials, fabric sourcing, and production processes across multiple categories.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills; ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills in English (German is a plus).
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality, consistency, and sustainability.
- Proactive, solution-oriented, and comfortable working independently.
- Comfortable working remotely while maintaining close coordination with a small team.
If you’re passionate about sustainable fashion, have a proven track record in product development and production, and want to help shape the future of a growing brand, we’d love to hear from you! Please send your CV, a short cover letter, and any relevant references to jobs@theslowlabel.com with the subject line Product Developer & Production Manager – The Slow Label.
