About
Established in Vienna in 2019, The Slow Label was born from a desire to create clothing that stands outside the constant cycle of trends. The collection is intentionally concise, avoiding overproduction while allowing each piece to remain relevant beyond a single season.
The brand focuses on a considered wardrobe of timeless essentials designed to be worn often and kept for years. Rather than releasing large seasonal collections, each piece forms part of a carefully edited range that integrates naturally into everyday life.
Production takes place primarily in Europe in collaboration with small, specialized manufacturers — from traditional weaving mills to experienced tailoring workshops. Materials are selected with longevity and lower environmental impact in mind, with a preference for organic, recycled and natural fibres.
Transparency is a core part of the brand. The Slow Label shares detailed information about materials, pricing and production so customers can understand exactly what they are buying.
Each garment is designed with the intention to last — both in quality and in design.
Our Values
Natural fibres
Most pieces in our collection are made primarily from natural fibres. When selecting materials, we prioritise options with lower environmental impact and long-term durability.
Mono-material construction
Where possible, our garments are made from a single fibre to make recycling easier. When stretch is required, we use Roica V550 — a Cradle to Cradle Certified™ stretch fibre.
Animal welfare
We do not use leather, fur or down. W=Our wool is always mulesing-free and, depending on the supplier, certified according to standards such as RWS, GOTS or IVN.
Thoughtful sourcing
Our material sourcing efforts extend beyond the main fabric. Buttons, elastics and other trims are carefully selected and sourced from trusted European suppliers wherever possible.
Supply chain proximity
Whenever possible, fabrics are sourced from the same region where garments are produced to minimise unnecessary transportation.
Craftsmanship
We work with small, specialised manufacturers across Europe — from traditional weaving mills and knitting factories to experienced tailoring workshops.
Longevity
Sustainability also means durability. Construction methods and materials are chosen to ensure garments maintain their shape, quality and comfort over time.
Repairs
If something breaks, we cover repair costs. This helps extend the life of each garment and prevents pieces from being discarded prematurely.
Responsible growth
The Slow Label is an independent, female-founded company that grows organically without external investors.
