Copenhagen is one of our founder Anna-Laura Amenta’s favorite cities - a place where design, food, and daily rituals intertwine with an ease that feels both inspiring and grounding. From neighborhood bakeries to harborside saunas, the city invites you to pause, savor, and connect.
These are the spots Anna-Laura always returns to, each one reflecting the kind of intentional, slow living she seeks out in Copenhagen.
Eat & Drink

STUDIO X KITCHEN
Their folded eggs easily make it one of the best breakfast spots in Copenhagen. Seating is open and communal, so it’s a lovely place to linger and chat with locals.
Dronningens Tværgade 52, 1302 Copenhagen
BAR VITRINE
Born from a creative ensemble - FRAMA, restaurateur Riccardo Marcon, and Noma alum chef Dhriti Arora - Bar Vitrine is a 16-seat wine bar nestled on a bustling Copenhagen corner.
Møntergade 5, 1116 Copenhagen
Slow Experiences

LA BANCHINA
Equal parts café, sauna, and swim spot, La Banchina is a true Copenhagen ritual. Anna-Laura loves it for the slow rhythm it encourages: a glass of natural wine, an organic bite, and a dip in the harbor - whether in the heat of summer or the chill of winter.
GRO SPISERI
Imagine having dinner under a greenhouse roof surrounded by carrots, herbs, and blooming flowers grown right there: welcome to Gro Spiseri. This rooftop farm restaurant in Østerbro serves organic meals family-style around one long table, where you can soak in sunset views and dine with new friends. It's communal, green, and utterly Copenhagen.

Design & Culture

APOTEK 57
Hidden inside the elegant FRAMA studio store, this café is run by Chiara Barla - you may know her from our Women Who Inspire Us series. She brings her Italian roots to Copenhagen with a rotating menu of organic, seasonal baked goods, savory bites, and pour-over coffee.
LOUISE ROE GALLERY
A sleek café and gallery where design and a relaxed coffee converge. It’s a lovely place to sip and linger, scout gallery objects and ceramics, or enjoy a light breakfast surrounded by curated décor.
Day Trips & Escapes

KING'S GARDEN
Copenhagen’s oldest royal garden, right by Rosenborg Castle. A perfect place to relax with a coffee, picnic, or just watch city life go by among manicured lawns and sculptures. It’s one of my favorite places in the city.
LOUISIANA MUSEUM
Just 40 minutes north of Copenhagen, Louisiana combines world-class modern art with sweeping views of the Øresund coast. The sculpture garden alone makes it worth the trip.
Whether you’re exploring Copenhagen for the first time or returning again, these places offer more than just good food and design - they’re an invitation to pause, connect, and enjoy the city’s slow rhythm.
