Through our Women Who Inspire Us series we aim to highlight women who live their lives in a way that we find empowering. With each feature we introduce you to someone who has crossed our path - virtually or IRL - and left a lasting impression.

Carola Pojer is one of those women. As an actress, content creator, and founder of the ceramics label ONE OF A KIND, Carola navigates between fashion, performance, and craftsmanship with creativity and intention. Whether she’s getting ready for a shoot or shaping clay at the wheel, her work reflects a deep appreciation for emotional connection, quality, and self-expression.

Today, we’re excited to share our #WomenWhoInspireUs conversation with Carola. From early-morning breakfasts with her daughter to moments of calm found in running or sitting at the potter’s wheel, her answers offer a glimpse into a life shaped by curiosity, empathy, and presence.

Introducing - Carola Pojer

How do you describe what you do?

I am an actress, content creator and founder of the ceramics label ONE OF A KIND.

Name three words that describe you.

Forward-thinking, Empathetic, Driven.

Share some moments that calm your mind and make you happy. What do you do to unwind and reconnect with yourself?

I have the weird habit of chilling in front of the small radiant heater in our bathroom. Even in summer - the white noise just calms me and clears my mind. This love affair goes back to my childhood, when my sister and I used to hang out in front of it - though it’s not a very eco-friendly method to unwind haha. Other than that I love to go for a run or sit at the potter’s wheel and make some ceramics.

What does slow living mean to you?

Creating space to be present, in general but also in my creative process. It’s about choosing depth over speed, allowing my emotions, ideas and connections with others to unfold with intention.

Tell us about your morning routine!

Well, I usually get up between 6:30 to 7:00 and have breakfast (coffee with oat milk and scrambled eggs) with my little daughter, before taking her to Kindergarden. Upon my return I usually do a little skincare routine and then either head to the ceramics studio or get ready for a fashion shooting or meeting (this would involve getting my makeup done).

Where do you find your inspiration?

I find inspiration in a mix of digital and real-world experiences. Online platforms like Instagram, Substack and Pinterest are amazing for visual exploration and trend spotting. But my inspiration also comes from more organic moments like a meaningful conversation, traveling to new places or simply observing people and my surroundings.

Knowing what you know now, what would you tell your 18 year old self?

If I could talk to my teenage self back then, I’d say: „I know things feel overwhelming and uncertain right now, and that’s okay. You don’t have to have it all figured out or fit into anyone else’s idea of success. Trust the process, be kind to yourself and remember that your path will unfold on its own time. Everything will be alright.“

Can you highlight a specific piece of clothing you've owned for a long time that holds a special place in your heart, and share the story behind it?

I own a keepsake box where I store my what I call „emotional clothing“ - like a hand-knitted Norwegian Sweater from my Dad, the Magda Butrym dress I wore when I got engaged, stage clothes, a knitted pants that I wore when I went into labour. All these clothes mean a lot to me and I cherish the memories of special moments that are linked with them.
