A family-run knitwear manufacturer in Prato, Italy, founded in 1952. Around 20 people work at the headquarters, almost all of them women. The company is now run by the second generation, with the third generation already working in the business.
They specialise in high-quality knitwear using fibres including cashmere, alpaca, merino wool, cotton, linen and viscose. The production process is vertically organised, from yarn to finished garment, with each stage closely overseen.
The people
The business has remained family-run for generations. Today, the second generation leads the company and the third generation has already joined, continuing the knowledge and expertise built up over decades.
They also work with local families who are provided with knitting machines and can produce knitted panels from home. The pieces are then returned to the headquarters for linking, finishing, ironing and quality control. This allows skilled knitters to work from home and gives families more flexibility around childcare and family life.
The production
The manufacturer works with a wide range of specialised knitting machines and gauges, allowing them to produce everything from fine to heavier knitwear.
They have also worked with the same renowned Italian yarn producer for around 50 years. Over time, they have continuously adjusted and refined their knitting machines to suit the yarns they work with, combining long-standing material knowledge with technical expertise.
Why we work with them
Their combination of craftsmanship, technical expertise and long-term experience with fine yarns was particularly important to us. They have been producing knitwear in Italy for decades and still retain the knowledge and flexibility of a family-run business.
All of our Fall/Winter 2026 knitwear was made with them in Italy.
